What are we building?

A. We are building a worship center on our Lakeside campus.

Why are we building it?

A. It has been our plan since the purchase of our property to make this our primary place for doing ministry, as we look forward to "Creating Many Places to come home and grow in Christ."

When will we occupy the new facility?

A. As soon as the campaign is complete, we will negotiate the loan and begin as soon as possible. Construction will most likely take a year.

How much will the new facility cost?

A. The projected price for the construction and furnishings is $900,000.

How will we pay for it?

A. We will negotiate a loan from a bank which will consolidate existing loans with the building expenses. Money raised through our Going Forward campaign will go towards paying the loan down.

What is a Capital Stewardship Campaign?

A. A Capital Stewardship Campaign is a church project that seeks pledge donations from members of the congregation to be used in paying for a major construction project; in our case, a new facility.

Will I be pressured to make a pledge?

A. No. Participation in the campaign and how much you give will be entirely up to you. All members and guests will be given the opportunity to contribute if they wish to do so.

How may I prepare to participate?

A. Allow God to speak to your heart through prayer. Read scripture passages that speak about stewardship and giving, such as 1 Corinthians 16:2, Proverbs 11:25, Proverbs 3:5-9, 2 Corinthians 8:7, Acts 20:35, Luke 6:38, and Psalm 116:12.

How long will my commitment be?

A. You are asked to make a 3 year commitment.

If I can't give a large amount does my pledge really matter?

A. Absolutely! All pledges matter, regardless of the amount, because as we all participate according to our ability, God multiplies our giving.

When are we expected to give the amount pledged?

A. Pledge cards will be turned in on Commitment Sunday, and pledges will begin to be received shortly thereafter.

What forms of contributions will be accepted?

A. Contributions can be made by cash or check. Other forms of contributions can include the transfer of title to marketable stocks, bonds, real estate, etc.

May I update my commitment after Celebration Sunday?

A. Yes. You may update your commitment at any time.

Do you have to be a church member in order to participate in the campaign?

A. No. Participating in the campaign is a personal decision for each of us, and anyone may contribute to God's work in our church.
