SERVING OUR NEIGHBORS

At Crossroads, we are For Our Neighbors.

We are always looking for ways to show our neighbors that God loves them and that we love them with no expectations of anything in return. We’ve determined that the greatest way to love our neighbors is to be involved in the schools within walking distance of our church.

PARTNERING WITH SCHOOLS

This year, we were able to donate all the school supplies needed for every student in Grafton Bethel Elementary School, Dare Elementary School and Yorktown Elementary School. We also like to surprise the teachers and school staff with breakfasts, donuts, etc. At other times, we’ve supported the Back to School Nights and other events that the PTA organizes.

READ AND FEED

Read and Feed is another way that we show love to our neighbors as we identify areas where children need help with reading literacy while tutoring, reading and feeding families in our area. We also partner with Thrive Peninsula to meet the financial needs of people in our community. We are always seeking ways to be for our neighbors and want to be active and serving right where we are in York County!

COMMUNITY EVENTS

At Crossroads, we have community events that happen throughout the year for our neighbors and for our families like a 5K to raise funds for Nicaragua, Trunk or Treat, Spring Carnivals, Block Parties, Putt Putt Golf Tournaments and other ways for our community to hang out. Hey, we are neighbors, let’s get to know each other and have some fun while we are at it!

LOCAL SERVICE. GLOBAL IMPACT!

Rise Against Hunger is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies. We recently partnered with them to pack 15,552 meals that were sent to to Haiti! With two local churches, and 150 volunteers, it was a night to remember.
